Applicants are eligible to participate in Investigator Grant peer review for their level and category in the same round they are applying in. NHMRC have processes in place to ensure the principles of peer review including fairness and integrity are upheld. During the conflicts of interest phase, you will be required to declare all perceived and actual conflicts of interest, however peer reviewing for the same category and level is not classified as a conflict of interest. For additional information about conflicts of interest please refer to Appendix B of the Investigator Grants 2026 Peer Review Guidelines available on GrantConnect
In 2023 applications will be reviewed in one of two peer review cycles (PRC). The peer review process extends over several months, including a panel meeting held for one or two days depending on the number of applications:
